Requirements
  • Bachelors degree plus 15 years of related experience, or Masters degree plus 12 years of related experience
  • 10+ years of clinical research experience, including 7+ years of trial management within a biopharmaceutical company; 5+ years within a small/startup company is a plus
  • Exceptional clinical trial management skills with a focus on strategic oversight of trial execution on time and on budget, study coordinator and/or site monitoring experience a plus
  • Extensive phase 1 through phase 3, global trial management experience
  • Immunology and/or rare disease trial management experience
  • Extensive experience selecting and managing vendors, including CROs, labs, IxRS, EDC, and ancillary technology/applications (e.g. eDiaries, eConsent, apps, etc)
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of FDA and ICH Guidelines, GCP, medical terminology, and clinical trials
  • Detailed understanding of all aspects of clinical protocol design, implementation, IND/BLA/NDA submissions, and overall drug development
  • Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring personnel
  • Excellent communication, organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a strong reputation for collaboration
Responsibilities
  • Performs role of Clinical Operations trial lead for assigned trials and leads cross-functional Study Execution Teams
  • Develops and executes trial operational strategies and partners cross-functionally to drive trial execution forward; provides strategic and technical recommendations to senior leadership
  • Directs the selection of CROs and other vendors (IxRS, Central Lab, ancillary/tech vendors), directs development of vendor Scopes of Work (SOW), scope changes, budgets, and vendor payments and partners with CROs and other vendors to deliver on study execution
  • Creates and tracks clinical trial budgets
  • Directs risk mitigation, escalation, and resolution activities both internally and with sites and vendors
  • Directs technical and strategic input into the development of clinical documents (protocols, monitoring plans, informed consent forms, investigator brochures, clinical study reports)
  • Builds relationships with clinical sites, vendors, and key stakeholders and maintains an understanding of the external landscape and adjusts plans accordingly
  • Represents Clinical Operations in cross-functional activities and supports development and management of the Clinical Operations function
  • Mentors more junior team members such as Clinical Trial Associates
  • Effectively builds strong internal teams and cross-functional relationships and demonstrates leadership and team building skills, along with success in proactive risk mitigation and problem solving
  • Flexible and creative in meeting the needs and challenges of a growing, dynamic company and demonstrates excellent problem-solving abilities

June 26, 2026 Dr. Mark Eisner Jade Biosciences (Nasdaq: JBIO) has appointed biopharmaceutical executive Dr. Mark Eisner to its board of directors, effective June 25, 2026, adding a veteran drug development leader as the clinical-stage biotechnology company advances its pipeline of antibody-based therapies for autoimmune diseases. Eisner brings more than 25 years of experience in clinical development, immunology and regulatory strategy, with a track record spanning early-stage research through global product approvals and commercialization. His appointment comes as Jade continues developing multiple antibody candidates targeting autoimmune disorders, including its lead program for immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy. "We are pleased to welcome Dr. Eisner to the board," said Tom Frohlich, chief executive officer of Jade Biosciences. "Mark's biopharmaceutical executive experience and proven track record guiding innovative therapies from early clinical development through regulatory approval and global commercialization will be highly valuable as Jade rapidly advances its pipeline of antibody-based therapies for autoimmune diseases." Most recently, Eisner served as executive vice president and chief medical officer at Vir Biotechnology, where he led the company's clinical development, regulatory sciences and medical affairs organizations. Before that, he held chief medical officer positions at Sonoma Biotherapeutics and FibroGen. Earlier in his career, Eisner spent nearly 11 years at Genentech/Roche, ultimately serving as senior vice president and global head of product development for immunology, infectious disease and ophthalmology. In that role, he directed multinational clinical development programs and global regulatory submissions across several therapeutic areas, providing experience that aligns with Jade's strategy of advancing novel antibody therapies through clinical development. Jade Biosciences prices $150M public offering at $15.00 per share

Jade Biosciences has priced a public offering of 10 million common shares at $15.00 per share, expecting gross proceeds of $150 million before expenses. Underwriters have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1.5 million shares. The clinical-stage biotechnology company, focused on autoimmune disease therapies, will use net proceeds alongside existing cash to fund clinical trials, preclinical studies, manufacturing, research and development, capital expenditures and working capital. The offering is expected to close on 5 June 2026. Jefferies, TD Cowen and UBS Investment Bank are acting as joint book-running managers, with LifeSci Capital as passive book-running manager and BTIG as lead manager. The shares are being offered pursuant to an effective Form S-3 shelf registration statement.
