Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
  • At least 15 years of experience in graphic design and package design.
  • Expert knowledge of graphic software programs such as Adobe Creative Suite and best practices for package design and integrated digital content.
  • Extensive experience managing and leading teams of creative professionals across disciplines.
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Color and print management skills and knowledge of design trends in the marketplace.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and provide creative direction for brand and marketing expressions across packaging, digital, eCommerce, social, and video content.
  • Oversee the creation and design of visual identity systems and brand guidelines.
  • Provide visionary oversight and creative direction for the brands and ensure effective creative development and execution.
  • Partner with Marketing teams to ensure a planned, collaborative, and cohesive design approach across consumer touch points.
  • Work with brand teams to translate creative briefs into compelling consumer touch points.
  • Generate ideas and innovations for creative execution, customer experience, work processes, and execution.
  • Integrate generative artificial intelligence into the design process for concept exploration, prototyping, and execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute creative strategies.
  • Drive creative brainstorms with cross-functional teams to develop innovative packaging and digital assets.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, emerging trends, consumer behavior, marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audiences across brands.
  • Monitor design and merchandising trends in stores and online, and conduct competitive and materials research.
  • Build relationships with and manage outside agencies to ensure work supports brand standards and business goals.
  • Collaborate with New Product Development Engineers and Marketing to direct internal design work.
  • Improve processes and practices with Creative Studio Services to increase quality and accuracy.
  • Create a vision to share with the creative and marketing teams.
  • Ensure the creative team structure aligns with evolving business needs, priorities, and growth objectives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the creative team while establishing best practices for artwork file management, server organization, and asset governance.
  • Build team capabilities across design, storytelling, and emerging digital formats through training and development initiatives.
  • Manage Graphic Designers, Senior Designers, the Associate Creative Director, the Digital Asset Associate, and freelance resources.
  • Create career paths and provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for direct reports.
  • Foster team engagement and growth through collaboration, mentorship, and creative talent development.
  • Lead as a hands-on creative leader, contributing strategic thinking and creative expertise when needed.
  • Cultivate a culture of creativity, excellence, accountability, and results-driven performance.
  • Empower team members to execute confidently, make decisions, and lead within their roles.
  • Manage the creative budget and identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies that support business growth and improve margins.

Helen of Troy reports Q1 sales growth of 8.2%, raises full-year revenue outlook to $1.76-1.83B

Helen of Troy reported first quarter fiscal 2027 results with consolidated net sales growing 8.2% to $402.1 million, up from $371.7 million in the prior year period. The El Paso, Texas-based company posted GAAP diluted earnings per share of $1.51, which included a $1.74 after-tax gain from selling a distribution facility. Adjusted diluted EPS came in at $0.17, down from $0.41 in the year-ago quarter. Gross profit margin declined to 46.0% from 47.1%. The company raised its full fiscal 2027 consolidated net sales outlook to $1.759–$1.831 billion whilst maintaining adjusted diluted EPS guidance of $3.25–$3.75. CEO G. Scott Uzzell said the results reflect "early signs of progress" on the company's multi-year roadmap and disciplined execution across both business segments.
