September 22, 2026 David Foulkes to retire from Brunswick as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at the end of 2026; Aine Denari appointed as Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2027; Lead Independent Director, David Everitt will become Non-Executive Chairman METTAWA, Ill. Sept. 21, 2026 - Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC), the global leader in marine manufacturing and technology, today announced that Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors & Chief Executive Officer David Foulkes, will retire from Brunswick at the end of the year. Aine Denari, currently Executive Vice President and President, Navico Group, and Brunswick Chief Technology Officer has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and will join the Brunswick Board of Directors effective January 1, 2027. David Everitt, currently Brunswick Lead Independent Director, will assume the role of Non-Executive Chairman also effective January 1, 2027. "It has been the greatest honor and privilege of my professional life to lead Brunswick Corporation as CEO for the last eight years," said Foulkes. "With the best leadership team in our industry and the hard work and support of our thousands of committed and talented global employees, we have built the world's largest and most innovative marine technology company and have outperformed the market and delivered strong shareholder returns through a prolonged period of external turbulence." Foulkes has had a distinguished two-decade career at Brunswick, including service as the Company's Chairman since February 2025 and Chief Executive Officer since January 2019, leading Brunswick through one of the most successful and transformational periods in its history. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer, Foulkes served as the Company's first Chief Technology Officer and ran Brunswick's Boat Group and financial services businesses, which later became the core of Business Acceleration. His first role with Brunswick was as Vice President of Product Development in the Mercury Marine division, leading the development of the range of outboard, sterndrive, and diesel engines, and advanced controls that now form the core of Mercury Marine's industry-leading product line-up. "I am very proud of the exceptional organization we have built, the rich culture we have cultivated, and the leadership position we have earned across the recreational marine industry," said Foulkes. "With the support of my colleagues, I have achieved much of what I set out to do as Brunswick CEO. I am especially grateful to the Senior Management Team, whose individual and collective leadership I consider exceptional and among the strongest in any industry. I also want to thank my family, especially my wife Gillian, whose unwavering support made my professional achievements possible." Foulkes continued, "One of the most important duties of the CEO is to work with the Board to prepare a successor. I believe the time is right for a transition, and I am extremely confident that Aine is the right person to lead Brunswick on the next stage of its journey. Aine's broad skill set as a business and technology leader, her strong commitment to Brunswick's employees and partners, her deep understanding of the marine industry and her ability to deliver financial results will position Brunswick for continued success. I look forward to working with Aine to ensure the smoothest possible transition." Denari is a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience across automotive, mobility, industrial and manufacturing businesses. In 2024, as part of Brunswick's robust talent development and rotation process, Denari moved into a dual role as President of Navico Group and Brunswick Chief Technology Officer, further broadening her marine, technology, and enterprise leadership experience. In these roles, she helped drive Navico Group market share gains, strong financial performance, and new product innovation from brands such as Lowrance and Simrad including AutoCaptain, the market's first fully integrated autonomous boat docking solution. She joined Brunswick in 2020 as Executive Vice President and President of Brunswick Boat Group, leading the business through dynamic market conditions while launching new and award-winning boat models and brands and delivering strong financial results. We are confident Aine is the ideal next CEO for Brunswick, and we are excited to work with her as she leads the Company forward to deliver its next phase of growth and success."
Mercury Marine's mind-blowing concept. At the Miami International Boat Show 2026 this past February, I attended a press event that covered all the new and innovative products Brunswick was launching. One of the most interesting items I thought they were going to show off was the outboard below. I was surprised when it was glossed over, mentioned briefly as a concept, and then they moved on. Wait, what? I wanted to know more. I was later told by a Mercury representative that it is just a concept that they wanted to put out there to see what their consumers thought of it. I'm guessing to gauge interest in it and get feedback. But it was odd that there was absolutely no information to accompany the display. Even though it wasn't a prominent display, it drew a lot of interest and confusion from people walking past it who realized it wasn't a 600hp model. With the Mercury 600 and the new 500R Mercury racing outboards being so successful, this could be Mercury's next large outboard production in an upcoming announcement later this year. With the increasing popularity of ever larger outboard yachts and the move of many boaters from inboard craft to outboards, these monsters actually make sense... in an alternate and very different world from the one I live in. Although there was no signage, it was definitely a mock-up. Taking a close look, it appeared to have the same lower end and a similar midsection and cowling to the current 600HP. The horsepower marking on it said 808 - definitely a significant increase over the current 600HP. Identifying it with 808 decals and a Chrome 808 emblem at the top of the cowling means, in my opinion, it's further along than just a concept. Mercury Marine and Brunswick have not grown the way they have by backing and funding projects that weren't destined for success. As larger and larger outboard power boats are being produced, so is the need for monster outboards to propel them. It makes sense that as they grow in size, so too should the outboards that power them. Knowing Mercury as an innovator that's pushing hard to gain more and more market share, I'm sure there will be an announcement of a new super-horsepower engine at some point in the not-too-distant future.
Brunswick Corporation demonstrates strong market momentum at Cannes Yachting Festival 2026. Strong dealer demand for the new Navan C38, another record for Mercury outboard engine share, and a new Navico Group technology partnership highlight the strength of Brunswick's integrated marine portfolio. METTAWA, Ill., Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Brunswick Corporation's (NYSE: BC) market momentum was again in evidence at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, where the Company generated robust dealer demand across its premium boat portfolio, successfully launched the all-new Navan C38 model, expanded its integrated boating capabilities through a new Navico Group partnership, and achieved a new record for Mercury Marine share of outboard engines at the Show. Navan C38 Launch Drives Strong Dealer Demand One of the highlights of the event was the world premiere of the all-new Navan C38, which generated significant interest from dealers, customers, media and industry professionals throughout the event. Dealer confidence in the new model, the largest in the Navan range, helped propel Navan wholesale orders to levels significantly exceeding prior year, and contributed to much stronger overall wholesale sales than at the 2025 show. Mercury Extends Its Leadership Position Mercury Marine once again demonstrated its strength in the European market, achieving 67 percent overall outboard engine share at the Cannes Yachting Festival, an increase over the previous few years. Mercury's leadership was particularly evident at the Vieux Port location, where the brand accounted for 82 percent of all outboards displayed on many of the show's largest and most premium vessels. Navico Group Advances Integrated Boating Innovation During the Festival, Navico Group announced a strategic partnership with Elettromedia, the company behind the Audison and Hertz audio brands, with the shared goal of creating more seamless and integrated onboard experiences for boaters worldwide. The collaboration combines Navico Group's expertise in marine electronics, digital controls and vessel integration with Elettromedia's audio engineering capabilities to help OEM partners deliver more intuitive and immersive onboard experiences. Under the agreement, Audison and Hertz will become Navico Group's preferred audio brands, while Navico Group's portfolio will serve as Elettromedia's preferred multifunction display platform for marine applications. "The momentum we experienced at Cannes reflects the strength of Brunswick's portfolio and the confidence dealers, customers and partners have in our brands," said David Foulkes, Chief Executive Officer of Brunswick Corporation. "From the successful launch of the exciting Navan C38 model and the strong dealer demand it generated for all Navan models, to Mercury's continued outboard engine leadership, and Navico Group's latest technology partnership, Cannes showcased the power of our brands and partnerships, as well as our ability to deliver innovation across the marine ecosystem." About Brunswick Corporation: Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC) is a global leader in marine recreation, delivering innovation that transforms experiences on the water and beyond.
