Citylogix appoints Alexis Tremblay as Head of AI.

Citylogix appoints Alexis Tremblay as Head of AI. Accelerating the move from condition assessment into connected-vehicle data fusion, AI-driven work planning and language-model access to municipal assets. Alexis has spent his career turning research into systems that ship and building the teams that keep them running. That is exactly what this phase demands." - Jon-Erik Dillon, CEO WAKEFIELD, MA, UNITED STATES, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ - Citylogix, whose asset intelligence platform serves more than 500 public works agencies across North America, has named Alexis Tremblay as Head of AI. The appointment marks the next phase of the company's platform strategy: continuously sensed infrastructure data, AI that plans and schedules the work, and plain-language access to everything an agency owns. Tremblay will lead applied machine learning and AI model development across the platform, working within the technology organization led by Chief Technology Officer Jonathan Lapierre. His mandate runs on three fronts. The first is data fusion: combining high-resolution survey data with continuous signals from connected vehicles, so agencies see how condition is changing between scans instead of once every several years. The second is decision automation: models that convert condition, cost, and constraint data into defensible work plans, schedules, and crew assignments rather than reports that still need a human to interpret them. The third is breadth: extending Citylogix's AI beyond pavement and sidewalks across the full municipal asset base, from signs and signals to drainage, facilities, and fleet. Large language models cut across all three. Citylogix intends for a public works director to be able to ask a question of their entire asset portfolio in plain English and get an answer grounded in their own data, with the reasoning and the source records attached. Tremblay joins from Explorance, where he spent more than eight years, the last six as Director of AI/Machine Learning. As the company's first machine learning hire, he built and led a 30-person AI organization spanning research, MLOps, DataOps, and annotation, setting AI strategy and organizational design while remaining hands-on in development. His technical focus in recent years has centered on deep learning and natural language processing, spanning transformer architectures and graph neural networks - the same model families now underpinning Citylogix's roadmap. His earlier career includes predictive modeling of real-time consumer behavior at Datacratic and work on a natural language question-answering system at SAP. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in artificial intelligence from Université de Montréal. CEO Jon-Erik Dillon said: "Public works teams are drowning in data and starving for decisions. The next decade in this industry won't be won on better inspection. It'll be won by whoever can take a city's entire asset base and turn it into a plan its council will actually fund. Alexis has spent his career turning research into systems that ship and building the teams that keep them running. That is exactly what this phase demands." Tremblay added: "What drew me to Citylogix is the directness of the problem. The models we build feed decisions about real streets, real budgets, and the crews who do the work. There's a short line between the work and its effect, and that's a good place to do applied AI. It's also a wide-open one - very little of what's now possible with sensing and language models has reached the agencies that manage the infrastructure everyone depends on." About Citylogix Citylogix is a municipal infrastructure technology company serving more than 500 public works agencies across the United States and Canada. Its AI-powered asset intelligence platform spans data collection, condition assessment, and enterprise asset management, giving agencies a single system to understand what they own, what condition it's in, and what to do next. Explorance honors 23 organizations at inaugural Metrics That Matter Learning Excellence Awards at Explorance World 2026. Jul 07, 2026, 08:50 ET MONTREAL, July 7, 2026 /CNW/ - Explorance proudly recognized 23 organizations as recipients of the inaugural Explorance Metrics That Matter Learning Excellence Awards during a special ceremony at Explorance World 2026. These awards celebrate organizations demonstrating exceptional achievement in learning measurement, impact, and strategic value across three performance tiers: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The awards are based on rigorous benchmarks across vital learning KPIs such as learner satisfaction, Net Promoter Scores, reduction of Scrap Learning, and Estimated Performance Improvement. These distinguished organizations exemplify best-in-class learning and development functions that not only deliver effective programs but also prove measurable business outcomes. The significance of these awards was further highlighted through two keynote addresses at Explorance World. Steve Lange, General Manager of the Metrics That Matter business unit, delivered a compelling keynote entitled "The MTM Vision & Roadmap: Optimizing the Value of Learning Investments." Lange emphasized the rising pressure on L&D teams to go beyond program delivery to build critical skills, show business value, and make smarter investments. He showcased how MTM is evolving from traditional measurement tools toward predictive intelligence, prescriptive guidance, and continuous optimization to help organizations surface insights faster and embed learning intelligence into business decision-making. Complementing this forward-looking vision, Michael Rochelle, Chief Strategy Officer at Brandon Hall Group, delivered a keynote titled "Performance or Irrelevance: The Moment of Truth for L&D and Talent." Rochelle underscored the urgent challenge L&D leaders face to clearly demonstrate the impact of learning on business outcomes, warning that learning functions must transform from activity reporting to strategic business drivers or risk irrelevance. His insights emphasized the growing expectations for CLOs to demonstrate ROI, influence strategy, and contribute measurably to organizational success. "These award recipients represent the forefront of a transformational shift in learning and development," said Steve Lange, GM Metrics That Matter. "They embody the integration of data-driven insight, strategic influence, and measurable impact that the business is asking for." The MTM Learning Excellence Awards further reinforce the importance of comprehensive, standardized learning measurement platforms to help Chief Learning Officers and learning leaders answer critical questions such as "what good looks like," "how learning drives business outcomes," and "where to best invest resources." Award recipients include: Gold Award (Top 5% performance): * Belle Tire * Heartland Dental * Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies * United Health Group Silver Award (Top 10% performance): * Pratt & Whitney Customer Training * Regeneron Pharmaceuticals * Saudi Aramco * T-Mobile Corp Bronze Award (Top 25% performance): * Allegion * Aramco LDD * Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama * Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan * Christiana Care * DP World * Federal Express * Johnson Controls International * Optum UHG * Palo Alto Networks * Petronas Group * SLB * Thermo Fisher Clinical Research * T-Mobile Customer Management * Trinity Health Explorance World 2026 brought together L&D professionals, learning strategists, and industry innovators to explore emerging trends, practical frameworks, and cutting-edge analytics shaping the future of workforce development.
