Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in an app-based product, financial technology, insurance, health, or similar environment.
  • Experience in a startup or scale-up environment, or readiness to move into one.
  • Ability to write empathetically and firmly while maintaining a consistent personal voice.
  • Experience conducting live cancellation conversations and retaining customers.
  • Experience building or improving macros, processes, playbooks, or system improvements from scratch.
  • Comfort using artificial intelligence tools to work faster and better, with specific examples.
  • Ability to identify themes across customer conversations and work with the appropriate team to act on them.
  • Experience owning complaints end-to-end and delivering unwelcome information to customers.
Responsibilities
  • Handle customer conversations across live chat, email, and phone, including onboarding, renewals, billing, payment disputes, and related issues.
  • Lead retention conversations by understanding why customers are leaving and providing a genuine reason to stay.
  • Own complaints end-to-end by investigating, drafting clear responses, tracking outcomes, and closing the loop.
  • Work across claims, pre-existing conditions, and product teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Improve operational processes, including macros, automations, chat flows, the customer journey, and communications.
  • Help onboard and coach new team members.
