Hilton says the AI data-center boom is lifting its business, as contractors fill its hotel rooms. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) in its business-transient segment rose 8.3% globally in the third quarter, led by US manufacturing and technology demand. Chief executive officer Chris Nassetta expects full-year RevPAR growth of 4% to 4.5%, as business travel momentum carries into the fourth quarter. Analysts had expected about 3.5%. System-wide comparable RevPAR rose 5.8%, against expectations of 4.3%. Adjusted earnings were $2.45 per share, ahead of the $2.36 forecast. Revenue of $3.33 billion rose nearly 7% but fell just short of estimates. Shares dipped more than 2%, though they are up nearly 20% this year.
Today's biggest movers: high tide for royal Caribbean Cruises as Q3 revenue swells by 8%. The Miami-based cruise line published stronger-than-expected third-quarter results, despite rocketing fuel prices. Xylem stock was down more than 10% this morning, after it reported a lower 2026 revenue. Published on 10/27/2026 at 12:19 pm EDT MarketScreener.com Sofi Technologies (+11.4%): The digital financial company shares climbed 11.4% this morning after it published Q3 results. It reported that its net revenue surged 44% to a record $1.4bn from $891.5m last year, beating analysts' consensus of $1.25bn to $1.26bn, according to LSEG estimates. Fintech firms such as Sofi have been challenging traditional banks by using digital-first platforms to attract customers. The firm said it continues to expect total members to grow by at least 30% year over year. Royal Caribbean Cruises (+6.6%): The Florida-based cruise line reported stronger-than-expected Q3 earnings with revenue of $5.591m, up 8.8% compared to $5.139m last year. 2026 earnings per share were adjusted to a $17.85-$17.95 range, ahead of analysts estimates of $17.82. These results were boosted by strong European bookings and a solid demand for Caribbean sailings that helped compensate for skyrocketing fuel costs, amid Strait of Hormuz disruptions. Lincoln Electric Holdings (7.2%): The manufacturer of data storage systems reported a rising revenue of $1.22 bn, up 15% from $1.06bn a year earlier. Results exceeded analysts' consensus, who expected a $1.17bn revenue for the third quarter. Moderna (-7%): The biotechnology company stock declined as William Blair downgraded its average rating from outperform to marketperform. Hilton Worldwide Holdings (-4%): The hospitality company reported declining Q3 sales of $304m compared to $322m a year ago, and its $3.33bn total revenue missed consensus estimates of $3.37bn. The group warned that US midterm elections and the Middle East conflicts could weigh on its fourth-quarter performance. (C) MarketScreener.com - 2026

The company also reported adjusted EBITDA of $1.06 billion, up from $976 million in the third quarter of 2025. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) increased to $2.37 from $1.78, while adjusted EPS rose to $2.45 from $2.11. "We delivered strong top and bottom-line results for the third quarter that exceeded our expectations," said Christopher J. Nassetta, president/CEO, Hilton. "Our results were driven by momentum across our system, which we expect to continue for the remainder of the year and into 2027. We achieved our highest quarter ever for organic openings, and the continued quarterly sequential increases give us confidence in delivering net unit growth around the midpoint of our 6.0% to 7.0% full-year guidance range." The 5.8% increase in system-wide comparable RevPAR was driven by improvements in both occupancy and ADR. System-wide occupancy increased 1.4 percentage points to 75.8%, while ADR rose 3.9% to $164.57. RevPAR reached $124.70. In the U.S., RevPAR increased 7%, supported by a 4.1% increase in ADR and a 2.1-percentage-point improvement in occupancy. RevPAR increased 6.5% in Europe and 6.3% in the Americas outside the U.S. However, performance declined in two regions. RevPAR decreased 5.6% in the Middle East and Africa, where occupancy fell 5 percentage points, while Asia Pacific RevPAR declined 0.5%. Management and franchise fee revenues increased 9.5% compared with the third quarter of 2025. Total company revenues reached $3.33 billion, compared with $3.12 billion a year earlier. For the first nine months of 2026, system-wide comparable RevPAR increased 4.7% year over year. Net income totaled $1.4 billion, up from $1.16 billion during the comparable period in 2025, while adjusted EBITDA increased to $3.01 billion from $2.78 billion. Hilton continued to expand its global portfolio during the quarter, opening 182 hotels totaling approximately 27,000 rooms. The additions resulted in 23,000 net new rooms, a 6.5% sequential increase from the second quarter. Net unit growth reached 6% compared with Sept. 30, 2025. Notable openings included Hale Hōkūala Kaua[[ʻ]]i, Curio Collection by Hilton, which marked the brand's debut in Hawaii, and Den Bengaluru, LXR Hotels & Resorts, the luxury brand's first property in India. Other openings included DoubleTree by Hilton Singapore Robertson Quay, Canopy by Hilton Bangkok Sukhumvit and Spark by Hilton Milan Linate Airport, marking the respective brands' debuts in those markets. The company also opened its first hotels under Select by Hilton, which launched earlier this year. The opening of Hilton Istanbul Airport marked the company's 100th hotel in Türkiye. Development activity remained strong, with Hilton approving 30,500 rooms for development during the quarter. As of Sept. 30, the company's global development pipeline stood at 3,869 hotels representing approximately 543,100 rooms across 135 countries and territories, a 5% increase in rooms compared with a year earlier. Nearly half of the rooms in the pipeline were under construction, while more than half were located outside the U.S. The pipeline included projects in 26 countries and territories where Hilton did not yet have an operating hotel. The company continued to expand its luxury development pipeline, adding projects under its Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and LXR Hotels & Resorts brands. New signings included Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Mahe, Conrad Bengaluru Airport and Iona Galapagos, LXR Hotels & Resorts. Looking ahead, Hilton projects full-year 2026 system-wide comparable RevPAR growth of 4% to 4.5%, with fourth-quarter growth expected to range from 3% to 3.5%. The company noted that third-quarter results benefited from the World Cup and favorable calendar and holiday shifts. Fourth-quarter performance is expected to be affected by the U.S. midterm elections and increased impacts from the Middle East. Full-year net income is projected to range from $1.91 billion to $1.92 billion, while adjusted EBITDA is expected to be between $4.06 billion and $4.08 billion. The adjusted EBITDA outlook incorporates reduced expectations for Middle East performance and timeshare license fees compared with previous guidance. Hilton maintained its full-year net unit growth projection of 6% to 7%, with expectations near the midpoint of that range. During the third quarter, the company repurchased 2.6 million shares of common stock for approximately $845 million. Including dividends, total capital returned to shareholders reached $879 million for the quarter and $2.9 billion year to date through October. Hilton expects to return approximately $3.5 billion to shareholders for the full year.
Industry: Signia Hilton Tainan to hold first recruitment event on the 29th, aiming for Q1 opening next year * 2026.10.27 * 12:05 * China Times Information [China Times reporter Lin Tzu-chieh reporting from Taipei] Hilton, the hotel chain group, is bringing its luxury brand "Signia Hilton" into the Asia-Pacific market for the first time. Its first property, "Signia Hilton Tainan," is scheduled to open in March 2027 and will hold its first recruitment event on the 29th, seeking talent across all departments and planning staffing ahead of the opening. The Hilton Group launched the luxury brand "Signia" in 2019, focusing on the MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions) market. Formerly the Tayih Landis Hotel Tainan, "Signia Hilton Tainan" is located in downtown Tainan. Forte Hotel Group signed a lease with the building owner Cathay Life Insurance for renovation and has entrusted Hilton Group with management. Signia Hilton positions itself for both business and leisure travelers, combining refined design, dining experiences, and high-standard meeting and event services. With "Signia Shift" as its brand core, it emphasizes switching between work and life settings, using spaces such as daytime business areas and nighttime bars to meet guests' needs at different times and create accommodation services that combine work efficiency with leisure experiences. Signia Hilton Tainan incorporates local history and culture, creative clusters, and culinary resources. It plans 344 modern guest rooms and suites, as well as a pillarless ballroom that can accommodate 800 people, four multifunctional meeting rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a destination lobby bar, and Club Signia. It will also have an indoor heated swimming pool and a fitness center. To prepare for its opening, Signia Hilton Tainan will hold its first recruitment event on the 29th. Recruitment covers all hotel operations departments and targets hospitality talent with a passion for service, professional skills, and an international perspective. The hotel will provide a comprehensive international hotel chain training system and career development platform, hoping to attract talent and prepare for the new hotel's official operation. Hilton Group said that Signia Hilton Tainan is the first Signia Hilton property in Asia-Pacific and the ninth worldwide. The group is optimistic about Taiwan's market development and chose Tainan as an important base for expanding the brand in Asia-Pacific. In addition to expanding its luxury lodging brand portfolio, the move also adds a new option to the local high-end lodging market.
