T-Mobile generates $16B free cash flow annually despite 23% stock decline

T-Mobile stock offers a free cash flow yield of 8.2%, nearly double the S&P 500 median of 4.5%. Over the last twelve months, the wireless and broadband provider generated about $16.2 billion in free cash flow, up from $3.8 billion three years ago. The shares have declined 23% in twelve months amid concerns about slowing growth. Revenue increased 7.9% in the latest quarter, down from 11.3% growth two quarters earlier. Operating margin contracted to 20% from 23% a year ago. T-Mobile carries debt equal to 69% of its market value, compared with 21% for the broader S&P 500. Internet Provider Satisfaction now goes beyond network quality.

Internet Provider Satisfaction now goes beyond network quality. T-Mobile, Verizon, GFiber (Google Fiber) and AT&T Rank Highest in Respective Segments 8 October 2026 * Wireless Internet continues to outperform wired internet in customer satisfaction * Digital tools are driving improvements in both wired and wireless internet satisfaction * Wired internet value for price paid satisfaction continues to increase TROY, Mich.: October 8, 2026 - Reliable connectivity is now a baseline expectation rather than a defining competitive advantage for residential internet providers, according to the JD Power 2026 U.S. Internet Service Provider Satisfaction Study.(SM) Wireless internet service continues to lead wired internet in overall satisfaction, 645 to 560 on a 1,000-point scale, but the gap narrowed by 8 points in 2026, as wired providers improved customers' ratings of digital tools and value for price paid. "The wired internet market appears to be entering a new phase of competition," said Carl Lepper, senior director of the TMT and Utilities Practice at JD Power. "Stable internet service is no longer a differentiator. It's a basic expectation. What increasingly separates providers is their ability to deliver value, build trust, and create seamless digital experiences. This year's study shows wired providers continue to close the satisfaction gap with wireless, driven by improvements in value and digital tools. At the same time, wireless providers maintain an advantage by delivering a simpler customer experience and stronger perceptions of affordability." The following are additional findings of the study: * Wireless leads in value: 2026 data shows 70% of wireless customers agree their plan is affordable, compared to 55% of wired internet customers. The average monthly cost for wired internet remains $84, while wireless internet has increased to $77. * Digital tool satisfaction gap: More than 80% of customers resolved issues without any challenges on provider websites and satisfaction for these wireless customers is 710 versus 625 for wired. When complications arose during the resolution process, wireless satisfaction dropped 96 points to 614, while wired satisfaction fell 167 points to 458, underscoring that digital tool reliability is imperative. * App problem resolution reigns supreme: App usage for problem resolution remains low, with only 28% of wired and 38% of wireless using the app and 37% using phone support. Study data shows that 85% of wired and 90% of wireless internet customers using the app resolve their issue on first contact, compared with over 67% and 69% respectively, for phone support, highlighting the app's potential. Internet providers must do more to drive customers toward the more effective digital channel. Study rankings. T-Mobile ranks highest in the national wireless internet segment for a 3rd consecutive year, with a score of 659. The segment average is 645. Verizon ranks highest in the wired internet - east region for a 14th consecutive year, with a score of 592. Cox Communications (549) ranks second, followed by Frontier Communications (542). AT&T ranks highest in the wired internet - north central region for a 4th consecutive year, with a score of 578. Xfinity (558) ranks second. The segment average is 553. GFiber (Google Fiber) ranks highest in the wired internet - south region for a 4th consecutive year, with a score of 707. AT&T (611) ranks second and Frontier Communications (604) ranks third. AT&T ranks highest in the wired internet - west region for a 5th consecutive year, with a score of 595. Frontier Communications (567) ranks second and CenturyLink and Spectrum (545) rank third in a tie. The 2026 U.S. Residential Internet Service Provider Satisfaction Study is based on responses from 31,548 customers that currently have internet service with a provider included in the study. The study measures overall satisfaction with internet service providers based on seven dimensions: consistently delivering high-quality service; value for price paid; ease of doing business; level of trust with provider; people; digital tools; and resolving problems or complaints. The study was fielded from August 2025 through August 2026. About JD Power. T-Mobile is replacing phone promos with "picks," and it's more complicated than it sounds.

T-Mobile is replacing phone promos with "picks," and it's more complicated than it sounds. Oct 6, 2026 T-Mobile's upcoming T-Mix lineup includes three tiers, Standard, More, and Loaded, starting at $65 for one line. The plans replace traditional phone promos with a new "picks" system that customers can spend on either phone deals or perks like Netflix, Hulu, and ESPN. T-Mobile is about to shake up its plans again, and this time it's changing how you get phone deals and perks. According to PhoneArena, the carrier's upcoming T-Mix lineup will have three tiers called Standard, More, and Loaded. It's also introducing a new "picks" system that could change how you shop for your next phone, whether that's the iPhone Duo or one of the best Android phones. T-Mix Standard is the new entry point. It starts at $65 for one line, then drops to $105 for two lines, $130 for three, $155 for four, and $180 for five. You get unlimited talk, text, and data, with 50GB of premium data. T-Mix More starts at $85 for a single line, with unlimited premium data and 60GB of hotspot. That's $5 cheaper than Experience More for one line. T-Mix Loaded starts at $105, with unlimited premium data and 250GB of hotspot, which matches Experience Beyond. The plans are reportedly tax-exclusive, but there's some good news too. The AutoPay discount is expected to have no cap on lines. How T-Mobile's new picks system works. This is where things get complicated. Instead of tying phone promos to your plan, T-Mobile will give you a set number of picks to spend on either phone deals or perks. * Standard: One pick per line, up to four * More: Two picks per line for the first three lines, then one per line, up to 12 * Loaded: Three picks for a single line, up to 20 The leaked perks list includes Netflix, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited, and DashPass. Earlier reports also mentioned Apple Music, YouTube, and Xbox Game Pass. That's a lot of streaming services to choose from, but there's a catch. If you pick Netflix, you may have one fewer for a phone deal. T-Mobile hasn't officially announced T-Mix yet, and it's unclear what happens to existing Experience or legacy plans. Reports suggest the plans could launch in the second half of October. On paper, T-Mix gives customers more flexibility. But after a summer of forced plan migrations and the August 2.0 refresh, T-Mobile customers are tired of keeping up with plan changes. A new points-style currency doesn't make things any easier. Until T-Mobile explains exactly how picks work, I'd hold off on switching and keep checking our deals page for phone promos without strings attached.

True Religion to open its first Long Island location.

True Religion to open its first Long Island location. Jeans retailer True Religion will be opening its first Long Island store at the Green Acres Mall. The Gardena, Calif.-based apparel chain leased a 2,818-square-foot space at the Valley Stream retail complex. Founded in 2002, True Religion offers "urban casual lifestyle apparel and accessories" for women, men and kids. The brand has survived two bankruptcies and now has more than 60 stores throughout the U.S. The company is planning to increase its store count to 150 within the next few years, according to published reports. True Religion merchandise is also sold in major department stores and other retailers. Green Acres has also signed two other new tenants. Footwear brand Timberland leased a 1,608-square-foot store. This will be Timberland's third Long Island location, joining a store in Roosevelt Field and outlet stores at Tanger Outlets Deer Park and Tanger Outlets Riverhead. T-Mobile Northeast LLC, the wireless network operator that is part of Bellevue, WA-based T-Mobile US Inc., leased a 3,488-square-foot store at Green Acres. The Town of Hempstead Industrial Development Agency approved the three new leases at its Sept. 29 meeting. Macerich, the Santa Monica, Calif.-based owner of Green Acres Mall and Green Acres Commons, is required to get the IDA's approval for the tenants' leases under their tax-break agreements. In 2024, the PILOT agreement for the mall was extended until 2031 and the PILOT for the Commons expires at the end of this year. "These new leases continue to bolster our confidence in having made the right decision to provide assistance to the mall," Fred Parola, Hempstead IDA CEO, said in a written statement. "They will bring additional customers to the mall, provide additional jobs. and help to generate new sales-tax revenues."
