Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing or related field.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  • Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Certified in the American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support.
  • Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of education and training programs to enhance, promote, and maintain high standards of staff professional growth in providing quality patient care.
  • Serve as a role model of excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice.
  • Administer staff development programs through needs assessment and implement education and training programs for clinical staff.
  • Function in a leadership role as a clinical expert.
  • Develop and implement training and maintain established standards of care through quality-improvement activities.
  • Maintain unit-specific quality, accreditation, and clinical competency programs.
  • Provide staff instruction on the collection of data.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of clinical guidelines.
  • Serve as a resource to departmental and other hospital staff.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional Life Support credential, such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
