Requirements
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in traffic modeling / engineering
  • Proficiency with analysis software (VISSIM, Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS) required
  • Experience in VISUM, SIDRA preferred
  • NYCDOT and NYSDOT experience preferred
  • MicroStation experience preferred
  • Project Management and leadership skills preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • PE license preferred, PTOE preferred
Responsibilities
  • Perform and manage large scale complex traffic analysis and traffic engineering studies
  • Perform safety analysis
  • Perform transportation master plan studies
  • Meet with clients
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members, subconsultant partners, and clients
  • Collaborate with roadway, structures, hydraulics, and environmental groups within our Transportation business unit.
  • Lead and/or mentor a group of staff traffic engineer
  • Assist in proposal development

Dean brings more than 30 years of experience to her role. In her new role, she will manage the firm's relationship with the U.S. Army nationally, to include the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) and other federal clients. Pommerenck has over 25 years of experience in executive leadership, project management, engineering, and construction. Her background includes management and execution of architect-engineer contracts, specifications and criteria, control systems cyber security, operations and maintenance technical support, cost engineering, and automated systems. Jermantown Vehicle Service Center EV infrastructure project earns Fairfax County Award of Excellence. Dewberry recognized for sustainable and energy-efficient design. 06.19.2026 Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that it has received a 2025-2026 Award of Excellence from the Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services Building Design and Construction Division. The award recognizes the firm for its sustainable and energy-efficient design for the Jermantown Vehicle Service Center electric vehicle (EV) charging station project in Fairfax, Virginia. Dewberry's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) practice led electrical engineering and construction administration services for EV service equipment (EVSE) design and installation. The new EV charging infrastructure supports up to 14 fleet vehicles and two public vehicles through Level 2 chargers. Installation of the charging stations aligns with the county's Community-Wide Energy and Climate Action Plan (CECAP), which aims for carbon neutrality across Fairfax County government operations by 2040 and community-wide carbon neutrality by 2050. Dewberry is now leading additional projects to support the county's transition to energy-efficient vehicle fleet operations. "We are proud to support Fairfax County's commitment to carbon neutrality," says Dewberry Associate and Department Manager Dave Wernli, PE, LEED AP. In this role, Bryant will manage site contamination projects and lead Dewberry's Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA) New Jersey group. She is based out of the firm's Parsippany, New Jersey, office. Bryant brings 30 years of environmental consulting experience supporting industrial, commercial, and government clients in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Her project management experience encompasses all phases of investigation, remediation, and regulatory closure, with specialized expertise in New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection requirements, including ISRA compliance. Bryant has led investigations involving solvents, petroleum products, metals, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and has prepared complex regulatory submissions. Gabaldon has more than 40 years of experience in water resources development and management in a variety of technical, operational, managerial, and senior executive positions with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and other consulting firms. His background includes water and natural resources management, program development, program management, budget formulation, environmental compliance, and construction management. Gabaldon brings knowledge of the Colorado River and Rio Grande operations, with extensive experience navigating interstate water compacts, hydropower, dam safety, advanced water treatment, water reuse, and project operations issues.
