Mirantis and VAST Data integrate GPU compute and storage to cut AI cloud onboarding to minutes

Mirantis has integrated its k0rdent AI orchestration software with VAST Data's AI Operating System. The aim is to help neoclouds, telecoms, and other GPU-as-a-service providers run secure, multi-tenant AI infrastructure at scale. k0rdent AI can now automatically provision, scale, and retire tenant-isolated VAST storage alongside compute. Operators previously had to coordinate servers, Kubernetes clusters, storage, and tenant access by hand, which invited configuration errors. Mirantis says the integration cuts tenant onboarding from weeks to minutes. It plans to extend the approach to more technology partners. The companies first announced their collaboration in February 2026, when Mirantis joined VAST Data's Cosmos Partner Program.

Mirantis integrates NVIDIA Run:ai with k0rdent AI.

Mirantis integrates NVIDIA Run:ai with k0rdent AI. The integration automates deployment and lifecycle management across Kubernetes clusters to improve GPU utilization, uptime and workload throughput. Mirantis announced the integration of open-source NVIDIA Run:ai with Mirantis k0rdent AI. NVIDIA Run:ai provides AI workload and GPU orchestration within NVIDIA DSX OS, the open, modular software portfolio of the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform. Building on Mirantis' integrations with components of NVIDIA DSX OS, the addition of NVIDIA Run:ai gives operators a consistent operational model - from infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management across clusters to workload and GPU orchestration within them. Together, k0rdent AI and NVIDIA Run:ai help AI Cloud Partners, NVIDIA Cloud Partners, cloud service providers and enterprises maximize GPU utilization and workload throughput while maintaining visibility and control across their AI factory software stack. With NVIDIA Run:ai now open source, Mirantis can integrate it more directly into k0rdent AI, giving operators greater visibility and flexibility from bare metal through workload orchestration. Available through the k0rdent catalog, the integration streamlines deploying and operating NVIDIA Run:ai across Kubernetes clusters. It automates installation of the Run:ai control plane and its supporting components, while k0rdent AI provides centralized lifecycle management across distributed AI infrastructure. This helps operators maintain consistent software configurations, make updates easier to manage, and troubleshoot issues faster, helping operators keep GPU capacity available for production workloads and get more value from their existing infrastructure. Together with Mirantis integrations for NVIDIA infrastructure and platform software, including NVIDIA Infra Controller (NICo), NVIDIA GPU Operator, NVIDIA Network Operator and NVIDIA AI Cluster Runtime, the addition of open-source Run:ai helps operators deploy and manage a production-ready AI factory stack, from bare-metal provisioning and network configuration to GPU scheduling and workload orchestration. The integration helps AI factory operators: * Maximize production uptime - Standardizes deployment and maintenance to reduce configuration errors and avoidable service disruptions. * Perform predictable fleet-wide updates - Maintains consistent software versions and configurations across multiple Kubernetes clusters. * Accelerate recovery - Gives operations teams centralized visibility and a repeatable operating model for identifying and correcting problems. * Reduce interruptions - Automates TLS certificate issuance and renewal for applicable clusters. * Preserve infrastructure choice - Allows operators to customize their AI factory stack, including selecting their preferred monitoring technologies. Mirantis offers two service options designed to further improve AI factory availability: * OpsCare provides 24x7 support, onboarding, training and guidance for platform maintenance and updates. * OpsCare Plus provides fully-managed, around-the-clock operations from Mirantis experts. Mirantis will participate at NVIDIA GTC Berlin, October 20-22.

Mirantis adds open-source NVIDIA Run:ai to k0rdent AI for full-stack AI factory operations

Mirantis, which provides Kubernetes-native infrastructure for AI, has integrated open-source NVIDIA Run:ai with its k0rdent AI platform. Run:ai handles AI workload and GPU orchestration within NVIDIA DSX OS. The integration gives operators one operational model, from bare-metal provisioning and cluster lifecycle management to GPU scheduling. It is available through the k0rdent catalog and automates installation of the Run:ai control plane and its supporting components. Mirantis says this helps cloud providers and enterprises raise GPU utilisation, keep software configurations consistent, and fix problems faster. "By automating deployment and lifecycle management across the AI factory stack, we help providers reduce complexity, maximize infrastructure efficiency, and accelerate time to revenue," said Kevin Kamel, vice president of product management at Mirantis. Mirantis will attend NVIDIA GTC Berlin, October 20–22.

Mirantis launches training courses for using AI agents and building AI infrastructure.

Mirantis launches training courses for using AI agents and building AI infrastructure. New hands-on courses help non-engineers build working AI agents and infrastructure professionals deploy GPU clusters for AI workloads CAMPBELL, Calif.-(BUSINESS WIRE)-#AI-Mirantis, delivering Kubernetes-native infrastructure for AI, today announced two comprehensive training courses to help organizations develop AI skills across technical and non-technical teams. One course (AI-DEV 100) on agentic workflows teaches participants how to effectively use AI agents without writing code, while the other course (AI-INFRA 100) focuses on deploying and operating GPU infrastructure for AI workloads. The course on using AI agents is four modules with no prerequisites and includes a hands-on lab to actually build a working agentic workflow. It is aimed at people who know how to chat with an AI model and are in non-engineering roles, with no requirement for writing code. The other course of four modules covers IT infrastructure for GPU and AI workloads starting with a foundation that builds an understanding of differences between traditional IT infrastructure and the infrastructure for GPU and AI workloads. The other modules are more in-depth for experienced people in technical roles on topics such as cluster provisioning, cluster networking that include hands-on labs. "AI technology has come on so quickly that there is a lot of learning and collaboration needed," said Dom Wilde, senior vice president and general manager - enterprise AI cloud business, Mirantis. "That is what we're addressing with these training courses intended for very different audiences." Mirantis has a long history of helping technology professionals build practical skills. For more than a decade, the company has provided instructor-led and self-paced training that combines instruction and hands-on experience in areas including cloud-native operations, containers, Kubernetes, and OpenStack. The new courses extend that to the next generation of AI agent and AI infrastructure technology, helping both business and technical professionals develop the skills required to build, deploy and operate AI systems. About Mirantis Mirantis delivers the fastest path to scalable, efficient GPU cloud infrastructure for neoclouds and enterprise AI factories, with full-stack AI infrastructure technology that removes complexity and streamlines operations across the AI lifecycle, from Metal-to-Model. Through k0rdent AI and strategic partnerships, Mirantis helps organizations maximize GPU utilization, improve cloud economics, and accelerate time to revenue with production-grade multi-tenancy, intelligent workload orchestration, and automated operations.
