About the job

Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in SaaS implementation, customer success, customer onboarding, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Ability to guide people through complex processes with patience and clarity; non-traditional backgrounds such as equipment rental operators, teachers, or trainers are welcome.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts simply, recognize when someone is confused, and adapt explanations in real time.
  • Patience and empathy when helping customers transition from familiar systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers at different implementation stages and reliably follow up.
  • Comfort following established processes while identifying where they should change.
  • High ownership and willingness to do what is needed to get a customer live.
Responsibilities
  • Teach customers how Moab works by running training sessions, answering questions in real time, and revisiting workflows after new features ship.
  • Help customers map their current workflows onto Moab; work with enterprise strike teams department by department to understand current operations and document how they will operate in the new system.
  • Lead mid-market implementations end-to-end, from kickoff to go-live, following a structured playbook and potentially managing several implementations at once.
  • Surface product and engineering gaps and blockers, using judgment to distinguish product issues from training issues.
  • Help define and improve the implementation process, including templates, training materials, and milestone structures.
  • Coordinate with data and technical teams on data migration, ensuring customers understand its scope and are connected with the appropriate people.
  • Keep the central implementation tracker up to date against defined milestones.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in equipment rental, construction, agriculture, or logistics.
  • Familiarity with ERP or dealer management systems, including legacy systems.
  • Experience at a high-growth startup where processes were being defined alongside delivery.
  • Comfort with data concepts and understanding how data moves between systems; SQL is not required.

About the company

Moab builds software for equipment rental businesses and dealerships. The product helps run operations by managing rentals, inventory, pricing, reservations, maintenance, invoicing, and reporting in a single cloud-based system that can be accessed via web (and mobile where applicable). It offers modules for rental management, dealership sales, and related back-office tasks, so users can track assets, bookings, customer data, and finances in one place. Moab differentiates itself by targeting a wide range of users—from new-generation entrepreneurs to market leaders—backed by venture funding to support scalability and growth, with a focus on the equipment rental and dealership domain rather than generic software. Its goal is to help rental and dealer businesses operate more efficiently and grow their operations through an integrated, scalable platform that handles the end-to-end rental lifecycle.
