About the job

Requirements
  • At least 10 years of advertising operations or ad trafficking experience at a publisher, media company, or high-traffic consumer app, including direct ownership of a tag management platform such as Google Tag Manager or Tealium.
  • Hands-on experience operating at least one enterprise ad server, such as Google Ad Manager/DFP, Freestar, or equivalent, including client-facing reporting that withstands outside scrutiny.
  • Working fluency with the signal path into ad platforms: Meta CAPI alongside the Pixel, Google Ads enhanced conversions, and major ad platforms’ conversion APIs, with ownership of identifier quality, event match rates, browser/server deduplication, and consent state.
  • Ability to independently query data directly with SQL when the answer is not already available in a dashboard.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to increase personal or team throughput on operations-heavy work.
  • Ability to manage a complex internal stakeholder network and meet senior client-side executives at large CPG brands and retail partners alongside Sales.
  • Comfort operating with significant autonomy and ambiguity.
  • At least 5 years leading an operations team of at least 3 technical individuals, with experience building and growing a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
  • Own the tag management strategy by selecting the platform KCL will standardize on and owning site- and app-wide tagging architecture end to end, including documenting legacy tags, floodlight activities, and orphaned pixels with a named owner and defined purpose for every tag.
  • Implement the selected tag management platform, including data layer design, naming and versioning conventions, environment separation, and a QA and approval workflow, then train marketing, product, and engineering partners to use it so a small team can maintain the platform.
  • Own ad trafficking and ad-server strategy by evaluating, selecting, implementing, and operating the ad-serving stack for client-facing campaigns; traffic creative and placements; and manage technical relationships with ad-tech vendors and their representatives.
  • Design and stand behind an external, client-facing impressions-reporting methodology that holds up under third-party verification.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics to reconcile where event data lands, including Amplitude and Databricks, with what routes through the external ad server.
  • Use AI to increase productivity on operations-heavy work, including tag reviews, trafficking setup QA, and reporting reconciliation, and turn effective approaches into repeatable practices.
  • Apply external knowledge of programmatic and display ad-serving standards and adjust KCL’s approach as the ad-tech landscape changes.
  • Represent KCL across stakeholders in Data, Sales, Partner Revenue, and Engineering, and join Sales in meetings with senior executives at large CPG brands and retail partners to explain KCL’s measurement approach, commitments, and end-of-campaign presentations.
  • Build the function, beginning as an individual contributor and player-coach, then hiring and managing as its scope expands.
Desired Qualifications
  • A track record of raising internal productivity with AI and willingness to champion AI-tooling rollout to teams beyond Ad Ops.
  • Advanced SQL and one or more additional scripting languages, such as Python or PySpark, for reconciliation and QA at scale.
  • Experience leading an ad-server or tag-manager platform selection or migration, rather than only operating an inherited stack.
  • Experience running or contracting a formal tag inventory and cleanup project, including floodlight rationalization and pixel governance.
  • Agency background on the media or ad-operations side, with direct exposure to large advertisers’ verification requirements.
  • Familiarity with coupon and deals, retail media, or affiliate and sponsored-content business models.

9 Grocery Categories Hot With Consumers In 2023

Shoppers stock up on staples including toilet paper, bottled water, diapers and canned goods at the . The average consumer will spend $394 per month on groceries in 2023, an increase of $22 from 2022 – and that’s just for one person. Expand that cart to a family of four, and the increase approaches nearly $100, to north of $1,000 total spending per month. This boost might be awesome for food retailers, but not necessarily for the brands they carry. This is because the number of items in that cart could well be shrinking.Shoppers, many of whom are making close to last year’s wages, are trying to stick to last year’s budgets, and making hard choices about what they will continue to buy
