- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
- A Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations is required.
- Certification in the American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support is required.
- Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred.
- Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse are preferred.
- An additional life-support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, or another clinical specialty certification, is preferred.
- Visual color acuity is preferred depending on the role in specific units.
