Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience building software, including leading a team formally or informally and growing engineers.
  • Strong architecture and code review skills, including setting technical direction and strategy through system design and identifying risks and design flaws before release.
  • Full-stack technical judgment across mobile, web, and backend.
  • Deep production iOS experience with Swift and SwiftUI, along with solid Android experience using Kotlin and Jetpack.
  • Stakeholder management and expectation-setting experience across product, design, marketing, and partners.
  • A product and business mindset focused on business objectives and delivered value.
  • Prioritization experience in a high-demand environment with competing requests and limited capacity.
  • Experience with consumer products at scale, such as e-commerce or similarly demanding products, with attention to performance, reliability, and customer experience.
  • AI fluency, clear written communication, and a collaborative working style.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery across the team's mobile, web, and backend surfaces and the business outcomes they drive.
  • Partner with product, design, and growth to incorporate engineering considerations into roadmaps and evaluate user experience and business impact.
  • Run intake and prioritization by sequencing work against business objectives, tracking concurrent projects, and setting realistic commitments.
  • Start large initiatives with a minimal slice that proves the idea, then expand based on evidence.
  • Lead and grow the team through one-on-ones, feedback, and career development.
  • Protect quality through service-level objectives, maintenance balancing, rigorous code review, and a release pipeline that detects regressions before release.
  • Set technical direction and architecture across the stack and pressure-test plans for risk before commitment.
  • Embed AI and data into team workflows to improve delivery speed, learning, and business impact.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with React and Next.js for web and webview surfaces.
  • Experience designing and building REST and GraphQL APIs using Node, Python, and Java/Groovy on the backend.
  • Experience with customer data platforms and lifecycle-messaging or marketing-automation platforms.
  • Experience with cross-platform tooling such as React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Experience with mobile continuous integration, continuous delivery, and release automation, including Fastlane, phased rollouts, and feature flags.
  • Background in ticketing, live events, payments, or complex third-party integrations.
  • Experience with observability and crash-reporting tools such as Datadog and Crashlytics.
