Hudson Behavioral Health provides a full continuum of care for individuals struggling with substance-use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The organization operates through a network of facilities offering medically monitored detox, residential treatment, and sober living homes that utilize evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Medication-Assisted Treatment. Unlike many traditional recovery centers, this nonprofit focuses on a holistic "dual diagnosis" approach that treats both addiction and underlying mental health challenges simultaneously for specialized groups like veterans and the LGBTQ+ community. Its goal is to provide accessible, individualized treatment plans that help patients achieve long-term recovery and mental wellness.

Hudson Behavioral Health

Raising the standard in Behavioral Health care.

Raising the standard in Behavioral Health care. Aug 26, 2026Blog Hudson Behavioral Health doesn't fit the mold of a typical non-profit. Hudson Health Services, Inc. is investing heavily in the people, technology, and spaces that drive safer care, better outcomes, and a stronger future for the patients and communities Hudson Health Services, Inc. serve. Access that doesn't turn people away. That investment starts with access. Hudson Health Services, Inc. operate on an open access admissions model, removing the barriers that so often keep people from getting help when they need it most. If a patient isn't the right fit for a particular level of care, Hudson Health Services, Inc. don't turn them away. Its staff place them somewhere they can be properly served - whether within Hudson's own continuum of care or through a partner organization. No one falls through the cracks. Growing its clinical TEAM. Behind that promise is a deliberate expansion of its licensed clinical staff. By expanding its team of licensed professionals, Hudson Health Services, Inc. has increased its capacity to supervise interns and help develop the next generation of clinicians - strengthening the workforce in a field where they are greatly needed. That growth has also allowed Hudson Health Services, Inc. to fully staff its outpatient mental health center and its Delaware housing program, supporting true wrap-around care that follows patients across every level of treatment. Investing behind the scenes. Hudson has modernized its infrastructure to match. Hudson Health Services, Inc. has implemented a new electronic medical record system built on secure architecture that protects patient information in compliance with HIPAA - the kind of behind-the-scenes investment patients rarely see, but one that shapes the quality and continuity of their care. An environment built for whole-person recovery. The environment matters too. Hudson Health Services, Inc. has added cornhole, putt-putt, volleyball, horseshoes, and other recreational activities to its campus, giving patients healthy outlets for the restless energy that so often accompanies early recovery. According to Dr. Bautista, its psychiatrist, the effect has been measurable: fewer patients now require medication to help them sleep - a small but telling sign that a well-rounded recovery environment supports the whole person, not just the clinical checklist. Chuck's story: from Corinthian House to giving back. That same recovery-first approach shows up in the people who've come through its programs. For Chuck W., it was structure that made the difference. Chuck came through Corinthian House, one of its sober living residences in Delaware, in 2017 and stayed two and a half years - a stretch he credits with saving his life after twelve years without steady work. While there, he took a job as a peer specialist, a role that eventually led him to his current position as a peer recovery specialist at Beebe Hospital. "I needed structure, and Corinthian gave me that," Chuck says. "I had to work; I had to pay rent - that accountability was a huge part of my recovery." He remembers waking up at 2 a.m. wanting to use, and calling his peer specialist, Jesse, to talk him down. Now Chuck does the same for others. "It's fulfilling to walk someone out to the car when they leave the hospital for rehab," he says. "I did my part - what happens next is up to them. But we don't give up on people. You never know when it's going to be the right time for someone to recover." The first call. That continuity - from crisis, to recovery, to giving back - is what sets Hudson Health Services, Inc. apart. With consistency across every level of care, Hudson Behavioral Health isn't just one option among many. It's the first call. Counselor Ranada Pritchett, ADT, leads a group session at the Serenity Circle, a peaceful, wooded area overlooking Johnson Pond. A cornhole toss in mid-air on Hudson's outdoor activity area, one of many ways patients stay active and engaged during recovery. About Hudson Health Services, Inc.. Hudson Behavioral Health was formed in 1980 (as Hudson Health Services, Inc.) to bring the first residential recovery program to the Eastern Shore. Today, thousands of patients later, Hudson Health Services, Inc. remain the leader in recovery programs and resources, with its staff of 125 committed to serving each patient as an individual.
