- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Medical terminology knowledge is required.
- Laboratory specimen processing experience is required.
- Prepare cytology specimens in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties within the pathology department as directed by the pathologist or assistant director of Pathology.
- Perform clerical duties or duties within the histology area of the laboratory depending on personnel availability.
- Maintain performance improvement activities within the department and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Assist with fine-needle aspirations and bone marrow procedures as requested.
- Perform pathology information entry and recording functions in accordance with departmental procedures and policies.
