  • Overall 12+ years of experience, including 5 to 7+ years in AWS Data Architecture.
  • Deep experience with S3 for data lake design, AWS Glue for ETL and cataloging, Amazon Redshift for data warehouse design and optimization, Lambda and Step Functions for orchestration, and IAM and Lake Formation for security.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PySpark or Spark on EMR or Glue, advanced SQL, and Python for data pipelines.
  • Expertise in data lake or lakehouse architectures, dimensional and normalized data modeling, metadata and cataloging strategies, and large-scale distributed data systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
  • Define and own end-to-end AWS data architecture covering ingestion, storage, transformation, and consumption.
  • Design scalable, secure, high-performing data platforms using lakehouse or modern data stack approaches.
  • Establish standards for data modeling, partitioning, metadata, and lifecycle management.
  • Architect solutions for batch and real-time data processing.
  • Build and implement pipelines using AWS Glue, EMR, Lambda, and Step Functions.
  • Design data storage using S3, Redshift, RDS, and DynamoDB.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Python.
  • Implement data transformation frameworks and reusable components.
  • Define and enforce data governance, cataloging, and lineage.
  • Design row-level security, IAM policies, and encryption strategies; work with AWS Lake Formation and Glue Data Catalog.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Drive SPICE/BI dataset optimization where QuickSight or similar tools are involved, and improve query performance in Redshift/S3-based architectures.
  • Work with business, analytics, and engineering teams; lead technical discussions and design reviews; mentor data engineers and enforce engineering best practices; act as primary owner of data architecture decisions.
  • Lead migrations of legacy data platforms, including on-premises, Tableau, and Hadoop, to AWS; define modernization and cloud-native adoption strategies; support large-scale BI/reporting migrations such as to QuickSight.
  • Create reusable reporting templates, dataset templates, and QuickSight themes; build standardized KPIs, calculated fields, and metric definitions.
  • Design modular AI agents and workflow templates for multiple business functions, modular reporting components for multiple dashboards, and parameterized dashboards with reusable visual components.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, datasets, and visualizations in Amazon QuickSight/Quick Suite.
  • Build and configure Quick Chat agents for natural-language querying across business data sources, and design Quick Spaces grouping data, applications, and AI agents for business functions or teams.
  • Build high-performance dashboards optimized for large datasets and fast refresh times; implement row-level security and governance controls for business users and AI agents.
  • Create standardized QuickSight templates and dashboard frameworks reusable across teams; design and maintain semantic layers and curated datasets for reporting and AI consumption.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with streaming using Kinesis or Kafka.
  • Exposure to dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, BI tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI, API-based ingestion, and microservices-based data flows.
  • Experience with Amazon Quick Suite tools including QuickSight, Quick Chat, Quick Flows, Quick Automate, and Quick Research; SQL and data modeling; AWS Analytics Stack; dashboard design; AI agent design and configuration; workflow automation and business process optimization.
  • AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or Data Analytics Specialty.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks or regulatory compliance.
  • Background in large enterprise transformations.
