  • ARRT registration as RT-(R) (M) and compliance with MQSA standards for performing mammography.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Personal computer skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to navigate online resources pertinent to job responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate with other individuals, maintain visual acuity, lift and move patients, push and pull wheelchairs and stretchers, withstand extensive standing, stooping, bending, squatting or sitting, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Skills and competency appropriate to the ages, cultures, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
  • Availability to work weekends and rotating shifts.
Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography examinations and invasive procedures on patients while adhering to radiology and safety protocols.
  • Operate mammography equipment, computers, and image-management systems used for breast-imaging examinations.
  • Perform and assess quality-control measures on equipment and procedures.
  • Determine how technique selections affect optimal image quality.
  • Follow policies and procedures.
