Requirements

  • Associate degree in Education, a Teacher Certification Program, Social Behavior, Human Behavior, or Health Care.
  • Experience developing an education curriculum with learning objectives and outcomes.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and various database and software programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative, technical, and prevention services as a member of the multidisciplinary Family Advocacy Program team.
  • Maintain the government's automated data collection systems, including FAPNet, and ensure maltreatment data is entered into FAPNet without entering clinical data.
  • Provide administrative and computer support to the Maltreatment Intervention, New Parent Support Program, and Outreach components through FAPNet and other software programs, and manage computer resources.
  • Manage data with the Family Advocacy Officer to provide information regarding patient satisfaction, recidivism, and clinical outcome measures.
  • Compile statistical data and prepare minutes, agendas, notification letters, and other written communications in accordance with Family Advocacy Program standards and requests from the Family Advocacy Officer.
  • Assist with research and evaluation by administering data-collection assessment instruments to individuals referred to the Family Advocacy Program, and process and score the instruments initially and during follow-up as directed.
  • Assist the Family Advocacy Management Function and Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist with administering, scoring, and maintaining secondary-prevention program measurement instruments for the Outreach Program.
  • Provide supportive services to New Parent Support Program clients under the oversight of the case manager and occasionally accompany Family Advocacy personnel on home visits.
  • Assist the Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist with scheduling and preparing for the Outreach Prevention Management Council and record and finalize its minutes.
  • Provide prevention services, briefings, educational presentations, and activities for installation leadership, active-duty personnel, family members, community members, and base agencies, coordinating community activities with the Family Advocacy Officer and Intervention Specialist.
  • Provide orientation and annual training to Squadron Commanders and First Sergeants when the Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist is absent, as directed by the Family Advocacy Officer.
  • Do not provide Special Needs Identification and Assignment Coordination Services, including administrative support or relocation clearances.
  • Create a record note within 72 hours after direct contact with Family Advocacy maltreatment clients or clients with open New Parent Support Program records, and create contact notes for New Parent Support Program clients in the FAPNet module.
  • Do not conduct intake interviews with Family Advocacy clients.
