Requirements
  • A bachelor degree in business and/or finance from an accredited college, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of proven and progressive experience in commercial lending, with prior experience as a Portfolio Manager, Commercial Underwriter or Analyst, or Relationship Manager.
  • Strong analytical skills and credit acumen, including loan structuring, concise underwriting, risk identification and mitigation, and ongoing risk and relationship management of a commercial portfolio.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain a commercial loan portfolio of secured and unsecured loans and lines of credit under general supervision and in collaboration with the relationship management team.
  • Provide a superior level of customer service to current and prospective customers and track systems to ensure compliance with loan agreement covenants.
  • Share responsibility for the largest and most complex portfolio within Commercial Banking, assist Relationship Managers with portfolio management and client engagement, and develop and grow new and existing commercial business relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Relationship Manager to negotiate and structure new and renewed commercial loans and recommend loan structure and terms to the appropriate level of authority.
  • Review and analyze financial data and relevant information to determine customer credit eligibility within established underwriting standards and lending policies; maintain application and underwriting quality.
  • Follow up on current credits, ensure compliance with terms and conditions, review collateral reports, assess transaction risk, assign risk ratings, and take action to collect delinquencies.
  • Mentor and provide training and feedback to Credit Analysts and Credit Associates and recommend strategies to mitigate portfolio risk.
  • Ensure approved Credit Authorizations clearly address key credit issues.
  • Take timely action to improve the Bank’s position on problem loans in the assigned portfolio.
  • Meet at least quarterly with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Credit Officer, and Commercial Banking Director to discuss risk ratings on significant loan relationships and take action to mitigate identified risks.
  • Ensure portfolio administration and risk management comply with credit policy, procedures, business strategy, and commercial and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in community activities to enhance the bank’s image, visibility, and commitment to the Community Reinvestment Act.
  • Maintain current knowledge of bank regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and bank policies, procedures, and regulations.

August 7, 2026 SACRAMENTO, Calif. - River City Bank (NASDAQ: RCBC) (the "Bank") today announced the successful completion of its initial public offering (IPO) of 2,700,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $45.00 per share. The Bank's common stock began trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbol "RCBC" on August 6, 2026. The offering consisted solely of existing shares held by two of the Bank's long-time shareholders associated with the family of the Bank's founder, Jon Kelly. River City Bank reports $19.6M Q2 net income, 14% book value growth and $0.05 dividend

River City Bank reported net income of $19.6 million, or $1.37 per share, for the second quarter of 2026, compared to $15.4 million, or $1.05 per share, for the same period in 2025. The Sacramento-based bank achieved a 13.92% return on average equity and 1.28% return on average assets. For the six months ended 30 June 2026, net income reached $37.6 million, or $2.60 per share, up from $27.7 million, or $1.89 per share, in the first half of 2025. Book value per share increased 14% to $40.58. The bank maintained its efficiency ratio at 29% and reported zero non-performing loans. Total loans grew $327 million year-over-year to $4.7 billion, whilst deposits increased $854 million. The board declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.05 per share, payable 17 August 2026.
