About the job

Requirements
  • At least 6 years of content strategy, editorial, or thought leadership experience at a B2B SaaS company.
  • A strong writer with a portfolio of content that moves markets, not just fills calendars.

  • Experience mapping content to go-to-market strategy and integrated marketing motions across web, campaigns, and social.
  • Comfort working across search engine optimization, design, and campaign teams.
  • Comfort with artificial intelligence tools as an accelerant, including knowing when to trust the output and when to override it.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-moving launch environment.
Responsibilities
  • Research, write, and develop thought leadership and digital content that reinforces Slack’s most critical narratives.
  • Manage the editorial calendar by prioritizing topics, mapping content to go-to-market moments and Tier 1 launches, and maintaining consistent output across formats.
  • Maintain narrative cohesion across digital touchpoints, including the blog, website, campaign content, and social.
  • Own editorial quality and content standards across Slack’s digital channels, including Slack.com and Salesforce.com/Slack.
  • Review copy before publication to ensure it is accurate, on tone, and on message.
  • Partner with product marketing to turn approved product positioning into content that resonates with target audiences.
  • Work with search engine optimization and answer engine optimization partners so content is discoverable and establishes Slack as an authoritative voice.
  • Bring an editorial perspective to website decisions such as navigation and content priorities.
  • Build and manage artificial-intelligence-enabled workflows for research, drafting, content auditing, and performance tracking.
  • Track content performance and use performance signals to improve content over time.

  • Familiarity with analytics and content performance tools.
  • Experience working with freelancers or agencies.

About the company

Salesforce sells cloud software that helps businesses manage sales leads, customer service, marketing, and online commerce from shared customer records. Its flagship Sales Cloud tracks accounts and deals, while Service Cloud organizes support cases and Agentforce builds AI assistants that act on company data. Teams access these tools through a browser and connect outside apps and data sources, with Slack for work messages and Tableau for visual analysis. Salesforce earns most of its revenue from software subscriptions and support, with professional services for implementation and training. Marc Benioff co-founded Salesforce in 1999, and its headquarters are in San Francisco, California.

  • AI brings paying demand: Salesforce reported nearly $3.9 billion in Agentforce and Data 360 recurring revenue pace in August 2026.
  • Giving back gets paid time: Salesforce employees receive seven paid volunteer days each year.
  • Subscriptions provide a durable base: Salesforce earned $10.8 billion from subscriptions and support in the July 2026 quarter.

What critics are saying

  • Office roles demand attendance: Salesforce's published guidelines require four to five days in person for office-based roles.
  • Expansion brought debt: Salesforce borrowed $6 billion in November 2025 to help finance the Informatica acquisition.
  • Reliability failed during Dreamforce: a September 2026 Salesforce outage disrupted affected Hyperforce environments for seven hours and 36 minutes.

What makes Salesforce unique

  • Partners extend its platform: Salesforce's AgentExchange combines third-party apps, AI agents and services with unified purchasing and billing.
  • Everyone publishes a plan: Salesforce employees write annual goals visible to colleagues through its internal V2MOM system.

Salesforce launches Agent Allowlist to control AI agent access to commerce APIs

Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) has introduced an Agent Allowlist in its Winter '27 CRM release, letting merchants control which AI agents can access their commerce APIs. The release also adds native agent skills, plug-in support, and cloud-based agent connections for AI-assisted customer and shopping journeys. Merchants can track agent-driven shopping behaviour and outcomes inside the CRM. The update supports Salesforce's push to rebuild its applications around AI agents. However, opening more commerce flows to external agents running on Microsoft or Google clouds widens the surface for security incidents, such as those previously seen in Slack.
