Include what you personally owned, what failed, how you debugged it, and what measurements proved it worked.
Engineering internships usually involve design decisions, analysis, validation plans, debugging strategy, prototype development, documentation, and review with engineers. Technician-heavy postings often emphasize installation, repair, maintenance, operation, routine inspection, field service, trade school, apprenticeship, or helper duties. Hands-on work can still be valuable, but a strong engineering internship should include mentorship and technical ownership beyond repetitive setup or maintenance.
